Lions Clubs International, District 308 B1, Malaysia will play host to the first ever Lions International Danceshow Championship with a participation of more than 15 countries around the world.  Each country will be represented by their Couple Champion selected at their respective National Final.

The Lions International Danceshow Championship is an open Dance Competition which include Freestyle Disco Dance, Ballroom and Latin.  The Winner is base on Originality, Creativity and Costume.  The Event is organised by the Cultural and Community Services Division of Lions Clubs International, District 308 B1, Malaysia.

A total cash of RM40,000 has been allocated for this dance competition including sponsored prizes by participating companies.

The 1st Lions International Danceshow Championship (IDC) is mooted by District Governor, Lion Datuk Danny Ooi to be part of the District Cultural and Community Activities.  It is a Couple Dance Championship to tap on the talent of Lions locally and Internationally.  It is also organised to promote friendship and cultural exchange among the participating countries.

The 1st Lions IDC Malaysian Selection will start off from the local selection at state level in District 308 B1 namely, Kuala Lumpur, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Pahang.  Other Lions District states selection include Selangor, Perak, Penang, Sabak and Sarawak for District B2 and A2 respectively.

Each Winner from the respective states will then represent their states to the Malaysian Grand Final which is scheduled to be held on the 29th November 2009.  Time 7:00pm.  (Venue to be confirmed)

The 1st Lions International Danceshow Championship Final will be held from the 26th to 28th March 2010 with the Grand Final Night scheduled on 27th March 2010.  Fifteen (15) countries Couple Danceshow Team will then vie for this first ever prestigious coveted Dance Championship Title.
