| Twenty four international finalists are selected each year, representing the work of more than 350,000 young participants worldwide. |
| We are proud that Malaysia has a lot of talents too, just like our young 13 year old lad, Ming Yang Soong from Bidor, who won the 2007-2008 Peace Poster contest. |

| OBJECTIVE: |
- To promote peace amongst young people using art as a media
To give an opportunity for young people to express their vision of peace
Allow young people to express their experiences and culture through art
To spread peace and international understanding

| DISTRICT'S DIRECTION |
- To fulfil the objectives mentioned.
To hold the 'Largest Peace Poster Contest'
To target 20,000 participants.
To create awareness to the Public that LIONS are a caring service organisation giving opportunities to young talented people to express peace.
To crete fellowship amongst Clubs and a platform for non active Lion members to participate.
To hold it during a Loving Sunday/Friday of the month so that the public look forward to our service every last Sunday of the month.

| HOW CAN WE ACHIEVE IT |
| This year the competition will be divided into 2 categories: |
- Category 1 (by Zone basis)
22 Zones will organize their respective zone's contest
Dates set for Zone contest are 4th, 11th, 18th October 2009 at the respective selected venue.
District will also arrange for the Peace Poster Kits to be sent to you.
Each invidivual zones will target their participants and inform them to be at the venue for the competition.
Aug - Sept 2009 - to select sponsors, participants and venue (preferably shopping malls so as to create awareness of LIONS activities) for contest.
District will assist to source the prizes for the Zone level contest. However, if Zone can source their own are also welcome.
22 Zones x Top 3 prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
22 Zones x 7 consolation prizes
District will assist to publicize your competition through media and posters to be displayed at respective shopping malls or multi purpose halls.

- Category 2 (by school basis)
Competition may also be held at school level by individual clubs.
However they will have to purchase their own Peace Poster contest Kit prizes, etc.
