Zone 7 - Xmas Party on 27th December 2009
19 Lions together with 10 Friends of Lions and family members hosted a Xmas party for children from 3 homes of the House of Joy in Taman Tenaga, Puchong. Lunch was from A&W with the presence of the A&W Great Root Bear. Children and Lions participated in games, singing, dancing, cake cutting and goodie bags were given.

Zone 8 - Presentation of Prosthetic Leg & Wheelchair
A prosthetic leg and a wheelchair was presented to En. Fahmi whose left leg was amputated due to diabetes. 6 Lions were present at the presentation on Sunday 27th December 2009.

Zone 17 - 3 Projects In A Day
Led by the LC of Segamat, the activites started with the repainting of gate and retaining wall of the REACH centre (home for autistic children). Followed by lunch with 30 members of the Breast Cancer Support Society. There was a karaoke contest among the participants with the trophies sponsored by 'Well Best Entterprise' - (Friend of Lions).
Later, the Lions, Lionesses and Leos visited the Good Shepherd Home for old folks and presented school bags to the children and talcum powder, soap and were presented to the old folks. President Tessa Soo gave ang pows to the old folks.

Zone 19 - Christmas Party on 27th December 2009
11 Lions from LC of Senai and 10 family members together with 4 Leos from Southern College and 4 Leos from Senai Synergy organised a Xmas party for 35 children from Life Link Orphanage Taman Rinting Heights, Masai, JB. Apart from lunch, games and gifts the Lions and Leos also donated books and stationary to the Home.

Zone 8 - Health Care Project on 29th November 2009
26 Lions participated in the Health Care project held at the RT OUG. Apart from eye screening, blood donation, health screening there were also collection of clothings, old newspapers and carton boxes.

Zone 13 - Gotong Royong - 29th November 2009
35 Lions including 2 Friends of Lions and family members helped to cleaned up the town basketball court near the Kuala Pilah Rest House. This basketball court is being used by senior citizens for their morning exercise. Lions helped to cut the grass, clear rubbish, cemented pot holes and gave a fresh coat of paint to the poles of the basketball court. Expenses incurred was RM1,500.

Zone 17 - Visit To Reservoir, Gotong Royong And Family Day
More than 40 Lions, Lionesses, Leos and family members visited the Juasseh Reservoir in Tenang, Labis on 15th Nov. 2009. After the visit, participants proceeded to the Ayer Panas Recreation Park for a gotong royong projects and family games.

13 Lions visit the JB Pandan Old Folks Home on 29th Nov. 2009 to study and better understand the operation of the home. Lions also distributed goodie bags to the old folks.

Zone 21 - Health Screening, Fund Raising & Family Day
Lions and family members participated in the project that was held on 28th & 29th Nov. 2009 in Kelong Gelang Patah. RM1,100 was raised for a cancer patient.

Zone 7 - Gift Of Sight - 25th October 2009
In conjunction with World Sight Day, clubs from Zone 7 organised a 'Gift of Sight' project at the General Hospital. 20 Lions, 10 'friends of Lions' and some staff of K.L. General Hospital and Sg. Buloh Hospital were present at the exhibition and talks about blindness and corneal transplant. Zone 7 clubs donated cost (RM1,200 per unit) for 1 unit of corneal transplant, PCC Dr. Chin Yoon Hiap - 1 unit, District Chairperson Lion Oh Teik Keng & family - 4 units and Lion Flora Tan - 1 unit. Total donation was RM8,400. Lions later visited the wards and presented goodie bags and entertained the patients.

Zone 7 - Peace Poster Contest
Held on 18th Oct 2009 at the Atria Shopping Mall, Damansara Jaya. 21 Lions and 2 Leos were present. 30 children participated and 4 companies sponsored the prizes. Also present were region and zone chairperson and DC for Peace Poster.

Zone 17 - Joint 'Breast Awareness Campaign' - 24th October 2009
The campaign was jointly organized by Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita Keluarga dan Masyarakat, Lembaga Penduduk dan Pambangunan Keluarga Negara, PRIDE Foundation and BCCS Segamat and was held at the SMK Cannonssion.
Program included BMI, glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure test and information regarding Breast Cancer self examination for early detection, support care and treatment and a talk by a nutritionist. Question and Answer followed by Breast Cancer survivor Puan Nolizam speaking about her experience, fear and the way she overcame it. A coloring contest, 'tiny idol' contest and telematch were organised for the children.

Zone 13 - Deepavali Project
28 Lions from Zone 13 together with 13 family members and 'friends of Lions' participated in the Deepavali project at the New Life Care Centre in Port Dickson on 25th October. It's a home for 30 children age from 4 - 18 years old. Apart from serving them lunch and presenting school bags, the president of LC of Bahau, Lion Dato Dr. L Krishnan conducted a motivational talk to the children of the home.

Zone 19 - Peace Poster Contest - 18th October 2009
Clubs in Zone 19 organised the peace poster contest at the Tasek Plaza, Skudai, Johor Bharu. Present were 12 Lions and family members and 9 Leos. 19 children participated in the contest.

Zone 3 - Visit To Pantai Selamat Nursing Home
Members from the four clubs in Zone 3 paid a visit to the Pantai Selamat Nursing Home on 13th Sept. Lions chatted with the inmates and served lunch and also met with YB Fuziah Salleh, the member of parliament of Kuantan.

Zone 7 - Menyambut Hari Raya Bersama 1Malaysia
14 Lions and 11 Friends of Lions visited the Rumah Harapan Tunas in Kuala Lumpur Selangor which consist of 6 families and about 70 children of different races. Lions briefed the children about 1Malaysia concept, conducted games and treated the children to lunch. Goodie bags, duit raya and new clothes were presented to the children.

Zone 8 - Hari Raya Open House At Muslim Orphanage
About 55 Lions and 'Friends of Lions' participated. Apart from giving 'duit raya'and serving lunch, Lions presented cash of RM1,000 and 10 bags of rice, courtesy of Jasmine Company. There were muhibah games, dance, singing and performances by the children from the home and lucky draw consisting of 50 prizes were held.

Zone 13 - Mooncake Festival at Mahsan Old Folks Home
32 Lions, 4 'Friends of Lions' and family members organised a Mooncake Festival for inmates of Mahsan Old Folks Home at the Restoran Famous Bahau. Lions even arranged transport for the old folks from Kampung Indah, Batu Bakar and Mahsan, Bahau. After lunch Lions distributed goodies to the senior citizens.

Zone 17 - Badminton Competition
More than 40 Lions participated in a badminton competition at the SJKC Jaguh, Bandar Putera on 27th Sept 2009. More than 100 Lions, Lioness, Leos and friends were there to lend support to the teams.

Zone 18 - Recycle, Face Masks Donation & Road Safety Awareness
The Lions & Lioness Club of Simpang Renggam together with 'The World of Tzu Chi' organised a recycling project - collecting newspapers, palstic bottles, aluminium cans, cardboard boxes, books and clothings on 13th Sept 2009. On the same day, they also organised a 'Road Safety Awareness' campaign together with PDRM.
On 9th Sept, as an awareness of the A-H1N1, the Lioness donated 1,500 masks to 6 primary school students.

Zone 2 - Visit to SJK (T) Ladang Kuala Reman
About 28 Lions, 20 family members & 'Friends of Lions' together with District Governor visited the school and presented an electronic amplification system. Members later had lunch together with the teachers and students. Before proceeding to the school, Lions and their family members had a fellowship breakfast and an outing at Gua Chanas.

Zone 7 - Rumah Charis Children & Old Folks Home
26 Lions and 33 Friends of Lions and family members participated in the project. Planned programs were children games, story telling, singing and dancing. Children were briefed about the history behind Merdeka, quiz and later sang the national anthem. After serving them lunch they presented goodie bags.

Zone 8 - Visit to Juara Glads Tidings Home, P. Jaya
About 45 Lions, family members and 'friends of Lions' visited the Juara Glads Tidings Home bringing with them groceries - rice, cooking oil, etc. The home has 40 children ranging from age 4 - 18 years old. Apart from KFC lunch with the children, there were games, lucky draws and entertainment by magician. Lion Dato Robert Lim personally sponsored cakes and tart worth RM400. The clubs donated RM1,000 to the home.

Zone 9 - Merdeka Bake For Charity
Lions Club of KL City in conjunction with Federal Hotel organised a 'Merdeka Bake for Charity' in aid of Rumah Kebajikan Sinthamani Divine Life Ashram located in Jinjang Utara. Selling durian pastries to raise fund.

Zone 11 - Bird Park Visit Orphans
Members and family and Friends of Lions from Zone 11 and Leos from SMS Jinjiang brought 37 children and 5 caretakers from 3 homes to the KL Bird Park. Region 3 Chairperson Lion Tan Poh Ling was also present to lend support. Apart from the guided tour, children had the opportunity to feed the birds and witness a bird show and were given goodie bags. Lunch was served at the restaurant in the KL Bird Park.

Zone 12 - Handicapped & Mentally Disabled Children Love Center
35 Lions and family members visited the center located in Bachang, Melaka which house 28 disabled children. Members contributed groceries - rice, Milo, biscuits, toiletries and other dried foodstuffs.

Zone 13 - Buka Puasa with Orphans & Merdeka Day Celebration
More than 30 Lions and family members treated 48 orphans from the Murad Foundation and 10 single parents to 'buka puasa'. After dinner, National flags and goodie bags were distributed and everyone sang the 'Lagu 31 Ogos' accompanied 3 loud 'Merdeka, Merdeka, Merdeka'.

Zone 17 - Tree Planting and Celebrating Merdeka Day
More than 50 Lions and Lioness participated in tree planting, grass cutting (Environmental project) and together with PDRM distributed 500 Jaur Gemilang and mineral water to motorist in Bandar Utama in celebrating our National Day.

Lead by the Lions Club of KL Mega City several Lions from Zone 10 brought 30 old folks from Ti-Ratana to a visit to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya followed by a delicious lunch.

Loving Sunday - Zone 11 - Visit to Victory Elderly Home
21 Lions from 3 Clubs, Region Chairperson Lion Tan Poh Ling, 8 Leos and 8 'friends of Lions' provided lunch and groceries to 23 old folks. Led by OC Lion Tan Teoh, participants boughts cakes to celebrate the birthday of two of the old folks and later entertained them to songs and story telling.

Loving Sunday - Zone 19-22 - Visit To Pushpanesam Orphanage
Organising Chairperson Lion Grace Ng together with 58 Lions from 17 clubs visited the Pushpanesam Orphanage. Apart from serving buffet lunch and entertaining the orphans they also contributed groceries and RM4,000 for the cost of converting their van to run on NGV.

Loving Sunday - Zone 8 - Visit Old Folks Home
Zone 8 clubs led by zone chairperson Lion Kenny Low visited the Jimah Old Folks Home in Lukut. 12 Lions and 13 'Friends of Lions' Apart from contributing groceries, angpows and having lunch together with the old folks the Lions and friends spent two hours entertaining and joked with them.

Loving Sunday - Zone 17 - Sprucing Up Old Folks Home
Lions Club of Segamat (Zone 17) led by Zone Chairperson Lion Tee Piaw Tian help to spruce up the Persatuan Kebajikan Orang Istimewa Segamat at Tan Leng Ann Garden, Segamat. 60 Lions, Lionesses and Leos helped to clean the premise, repainted the gates, wall fencing, installed 2sets of handrails and shower curtains. They also contributed 2 sets of reclining chairs and 180 pieces of adult pampers.

LOVING SUNDAY - ZONE 12 - 'RECYCLE'
Zone 12 Clubs comprising the Lions Club of Melaka Raya, Lions Club of Ayer Keroh, Lions Club of Jasin and the Lions Club of A'Famosa collected old newspapers, plastic bottles, aluminium cans and cardboard boxes for a 'Recycling' project. 16 Lions including Zone Chairperson Lion Ong Chun Whey participated in the project.

LOVING SUNDAY - ZONE 13 - 'VISIT TO JIMAH OLD FOLKS HOME'
Zone 13 Clubs comprising the Lions Club of Lukut 88, Lions Club of Kuala Pilah, Lions Club of Port Dickson and Lions Club of Seremban Central organised a visit to the Jimah Old Folks Home in Lukut. 24 Lions participated in the project - serving hot food and donated sundries, pajamas, towels, toothpaste, angpow and even joked with the inmates.

Hearing Aid For The Hearing Impaired
Ten people with hearing impaired were chosen to received hearing aids at a presentation ceremony at the Gnosis Professional Hearing Service outlet in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur on Monday 6th of July 2009. The hearing aids were offered by Siemens. The event was coordinated by DC for Hearing, Speech Action & Work with the Deaf (2008-2009) - Lion Gina Kuek. Present at the event was District Governor (2008-2009) Dr. J.P. Kamalanathan and several Lions. [photo gallery]
YES (Youth Essential Skill) CAMP 2008
The YES CAMP 2008 was successfully held from the 11th – 14th December 2008 (Thursday- Sunday) at Eagle Ranch Resort, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan with the theme, “ Living in Harmony”. [download - pdf] [photo gallery]
Hearing Impaired Awareness Day
This Sign Language Project is to create awareness to Lions, Leos and the
general public so that they will have better understanding and communication

Diabetic Rehabilitation Project
One of our District Governor Dr JP Kamalanathan’s goals this fiscal year is to utilise funds
from the District Foundation to provide prosthetic legs for diabetic amputees. [download - pdf]
Prosthetic Legs For Diabetics
Diabetes is a metabolic disease that affects every organ in the body and if untreated or poorly treated may lead to
complications in every organ including the blood vessels and nerves leading to gangrene of the leg which
