The next generation’s ability to thrive is closely tied to the supports of the local community. Lions and Leos have seen and felt the effects of cancer on children and their families, and continue to bring hope through tangible service and support.
Lions Hope Brigade was set up to create awareness of childhood cancer and initiate programs to assist the childhood cancer patients and their families. One of the challenges that families face are the financial and emotional pressures of having a child with cancer. Lions Hope Brigade supports some of the poor and vulnerable families, many of whom are forced to abandon treatment because they cannot pay their monthly bills let alone the high treatment costs.
We want to alleviate their financial difficulties by assisting the head of the family of the childhood cancer patients to get some special discounts when purchasing their daily needs and medical expenses. This program will help to reduce the number of families abandoning treatment, ultimately increasing their chances of survival.
We invite you to be our partner merchants and to support our initiative to assist the family with childhood cancer whereby such families can utilize the discount card and buy merchandises, food, medicines and etc. at a special discounted rate.
